AWS Global Summits
Thirty-plus events a year, across every major market. The challenge with Global Summits isn’t any single show — it’s making all of them feel like the same brand showed up.
Project Role | Creative DirectorGlobal FootprintOversaw creative for 30+ Global Summits annually, reaching tens of thousands of attendees across every major market
Local RelevanceMaintained a consistent creative standard across cultures, languages, and production contexts without flattening local relevance
EnablementBuilt enablement tools and templates that drove global adoption and let regional teams execute at a high level without starting from scratch
CoordinationCoordinated with internal teams, partner agencies, and local production groups to deliver a coherent brand experience at every stop
The concept started with the customer. Each attendee represented as a single pixel — not as a stylistic choice, but as a way to tell the story of what Summits actually are: people coming together. What begins as separate points becomes a gradient built by the community itself, not designed into place but revealed through participation.
From there, the work was about making that idea hold at scale. Visual language, event marketing, on-site assets, and the systems that let distributed teams execute consistently across events of wildly different sizes and contexts. Signage, wayfinding, spatial design, copy, and motion — all threaded through a single design system with enough flexibility to stay local while feeling unmistakably AWS. Templates and automation tools cut production friction significantly, letting teams move faster without sacrificing quality. The goal was a global event identity that scales without flattening.
